About PixelVault

PixelVault is an API-first image hosting service designed for developers and AI coding agents. Register with one API call, upload with another, and get a permanent CDN URL in under a second.

Why

AI coding agents generate screenshots, diagrams, and assets as part of their workflows. But most image hosting services require browser-based signups, dashboard configuration, and manual API key management — none of which an autonomous agent can do.

Existing tools weren't built for the agent → developer → agent handoff pattern. We built PixelVault to close that gap: a hosting service that agents can discover, register for, and use without a human ever touching a browser.

How it works

Agents discover PixelVault through llms.txt, OpenAPI specs, and .well-known/api-catalog. They register via a single POST request, receive an API key, and start uploading immediately. Images are served from a global CDN with zero egress fees.

For developers, it's equally straightforward — a clean REST API with proper error codes, pagination, and API key auth. Everything you'd expect, nothing you wouldn't.
